Thaa Atoll, coded Th, sits in the south-central Maldives on the natural atoll of Kolhumadulu. It holds 1 resort island and 2 inhabited islands with guest houses; the resorts are listed on this page with their transfers and the size of each island.
Choosing an island in Thaa means a transfer from Velana International Airport by seaplane in about 60 minutes; our team, the flowers and the décor travel the same way, usually the morning before. COMO Maalifushi, with 76 villas, is the only resort island in the atoll, so the choice here is the resort or a local island.
There is no Thaa project on the site yet. Our nearest published work is from Alifu Dhaalu Atoll, to the north; it is labelled as such below. Send us the island you are considering and we will come back within 24 hours.

Resorts in Thaa.
Every resort island in the atoll, those with published work first. Each page carries the transfer, the villa count and the resort's policy on outside planners.
Local islands.
Inhabited islands in Thaa with registered guest houses. Weddings and celebrations here are planned with the guest house and the island council.
Seasons and light.
Two monsoons shape a year in Thaa. Iruvai, the north-east monsoon from late November to early April, is the dry season of clear skies and still lagoons; Hulhangu, the south-west monsoon from April to November, brings short showers, dramatic cloud and the best sunsets. Thaa shares Malé's weather almost exactly, so the seasonal notes on our journal apply here without adjustment. Every event we plan carries a rain plan whatever the month, and the nakaiy calendar explains what each fortnight of the year tends to bring.
Questions about Thaa.
Which resort in Thaa should we choose?
It depends on your guest count, your budget and whether the resort admits outside planners. Tell us the numbers and we will propose three islands that fit.
How do we get to Thaa Atoll?
From Velana International Airport in Malé by seaplane in about 60 minutes, booked through the resort. Our team and the flowers travel on the same transfer, usually the morning before the event.
Can we bring you as our planner to a resort in Thaa?
Most Maldivian resorts welcome a planner and stylist booked by the couple or the company, working alongside their own events team; a few run everything in-house. We confirm the current policy of the resort you name within 24 hours of your enquiry, and if it is closed to outside vendors we say so plainly.
What does a wedding or event in Thaa cost?
There are no fixed packages. Every event is designed and quoted on its own: our fee on one line, the resort and the vendors at cost on the others, with government taxes (GST) and the 10 % service charge shown. A proposal with the full cost breakdown arrives within five days and is held for five; a 50 % deposit confirms production.
When is the best season in Thaa?
Iruvai, from late November to early April, is the dry season and the busiest; December is peak across the Maldives, so book early. Hulhangu, from April to November, brings short showers and the best sunsets. We work in both, with a wet-weather venue in every plan.
