On a map of the Maldives, Gnaviyani is Fuvahmulah, the administrative atoll coded Gn, in the far south of the Maldives. We count no resort islands and 1 local island with guest houses in it, and every one is listed below.

With no resort in the atoll, Gnaviyani is for a Maldivian wedding, a guest-house elopement or a family celebration on a local island. Our team travels as guests do, by ferry, scheduled speedboat or domestic flight, and plans the day with the guest house and the island council.

We have not yet published a project from Gnaviyani. The nearest work on the site is in Alifu Dhaalu Atoll, to the north, and it is shown below as nearby work rather than as Gnaviyani's own. Tell us your island and dates and we will come back within 24 hours.

Seasons and light.

Two monsoons shape a year in Gnaviyani. Iruvai, the north-east monsoon from late November to early April, is the dry season of clear skies and still lagoons; Hulhangu, the south-west monsoon from April to November, brings short showers, dramatic cloud and the best sunsets. Gnaviyani is near the equator, so the sun goes down quickly and the blue hour is short; a ceremony here starts a few minutes earlier than in Malé. Every event we plan carries a rain plan whatever the month, and the nakaiy calendar explains what each fortnight of the year tends to bring.

Questions about Gnaviyani.

Where in Gnaviyani should we hold it?

Gnaviyani has no resort island, so the choice is between its guest houses. Tell us your guest count and what you are marking and we will say what the island can host.

How do we get to Gnaviyani Atoll?

Local islands are reached from Malé by public ferry, scheduled speedboat or domestic flight. We confirm the route and the timing with the island once we have your dates.

On a local island there is no resort policy to check. Permissions come from the island council and the guest house, and your planner arranges both.

What does a wedding or event in Gnaviyani cost?

There are no fixed packages. Every event is designed and quoted on its own: our fee on one line, the resort and the vendors at cost on the others, with government taxes (GST) and the 10 % service charge shown. A proposal with the full cost breakdown arrives within five days and is held for five; a 50 % deposit confirms production.

When is the best season in Gnaviyani?

Iruvai, from late November to early April, is the dry season and the busiest; December is peak across the Maldives, so book early. Hulhangu, from April to November, brings short showers and the best sunsets. We work in both, with a wet-weather venue in every plan.
