Katie & Jonny at LUX* South Ari Atoll
Katie and Jonny, a British couple, married at LUX* South Ari Atoll in Alifu Dhaalu, an island with four kilometres of beach and whale sharks in the water all year. Their planner, Wonderlust Events, brought Ikebana Maldives in to design the flowers and the settings. The brief was classic and restrained, and that is what we made: clean lines, simple flowers, nothing that competed with the lagoon behind them. Before the wedding the couple took their guests out on a sunset cruise along the island, and the day ran on into a party. Katie Julia's photographs of the wedding went on to win awards.
