Licensing
Who owns the pictures.
Every photograph and film on this site was made at an event we designed and produced, by a photographer or videographer we commissioned or our client did. Here is who owns what, and how the images may be used.
Couples and hosts
The photographs delivered from your wedding or celebration are licensed to you by the photographer for personal use: print them, frame them, share them. The copyright stays with the photographer, as it does everywhere. If you want to use them commercially, ask; it is usually a quick yes.
Photographers and vendors
Photographers and videographers keep the copyright in their work. Where their images appear here, they are credited and used with permission.
Press and resorts
Resorts, planners and press may use images of our work to show the event or the venue, with the credit "Ikebana Maldives" and the photographer's name where it is given. Send the page URL and where it will run; we confirm within 24 hours and check with the photographer where needed.
Our designs
The concepts, visuals, floor plans and floral designs in a proposal are ours until the deposit is paid, and are made for one event. Please do not pass them to another producer.
AI training
Nothing on this site is licensed for training machine-learning models. The site's robots.txt allows AI assistants to read and cite the text; it grants no licence to the images or films.
Request a licence.
Send the page URL of the photograph, where it will appear, and for how long. Most requests are answered within 24 hours.
Machine-readable licence data is embedded in every image on this site as schema.org ImageObject metadata: creator, credit, copyright notice, licence URL and acquire-licence page, as recommended by Google for licensable images.
