Haa Alifu Atoll, coded HA, sits in the far north of the Maldives on the natural atoll of North Thiladhunmathi. It holds 3 resort islands and 3 inhabited islands with guest houses; the resorts are listed on this page with their transfers and the size of each island.
Choosing an island in Haa Alifu means a transfer from Velana International Airport by seaplane, speedboat in about 15 minutes or domestic flight and speedboat; our team, the flowers and the décor travel the same way, usually the morning before. The islands run from The Signature Collection at Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa with 3 villas to Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa with 136: the difference between a private beach for twenty and a ballroom for a conference.
There is no Haa Alifu project on the site yet. Our nearest published work is from Raa Atoll, to the south; it is labelled as such below. Send us the island you are considering and we will come back within 24 hours.

Seasons and light.
Two monsoons shape a year in Haa Alifu. Iruvai, the north-east monsoon from late November to early April, is the dry season of clear skies and still lagoons; Hulhangu, the south-west monsoon from April to November, brings short showers, dramatic cloud and the best sunsets. Haa Alifu is in the north of the country, which gets slightly less rain than Malé during Hulhangu, and Iruvai evenings here are as still as anywhere in the Maldives. Every event we plan carries a rain plan whatever the month, and the nakaiy calendar explains what each fortnight of the year tends to bring.
Questions about Haa Alifu.
Which resort in Haa Alifu should we choose?
It depends on your guest count, your budget and whether the resort admits outside planners. The smallest island in Haa Alifu is The Signature Collection at Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa with 3 villas; the largest is Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa with 136. Tell us the numbers and we will propose three islands that fit.
How do we get to Haa Alifu Atoll?
From Velana International Airport in Malé by seaplane, speedboat in about 15 minutes or domestic flight and speedboat, booked through the resort. Our team and the flowers travel on the same transfer, usually the morning before the event.
Can we bring you as our planner to a resort in Haa Alifu?
Most Maldivian resorts welcome a planner and stylist booked by the couple or the company, working alongside their own events team; a few run everything in-house. We confirm the current policy of the resort you name within 24 hours of your enquiry, and if it is closed to outside vendors we say so plainly.
What does a wedding or event in Haa Alifu cost?
There are no fixed packages. Every event is designed and quoted on its own: our fee on one line, the resort and the vendors at cost on the others, with government taxes (GST) and the 10 % service charge shown. A proposal with the full cost breakdown arrives within five days and is held for five; a 50 % deposit confirms production.
When is the best season in Haa Alifu?
Iruvai, from late November to early April, is the dry season and the busiest; December is peak across the Maldives, so book early. Hulhangu, from April to November, brings short showers and the best sunsets. We work in both, with a wet-weather venue in every plan.
