Weddings & proposals

A Maldives destination wedding is one island, a few days and only the people who matter. These are the ceremonies, dinners and dance nights we have designed and produced, from LUX* South Ari Atoll to the Fari Islands, along with the proposals that came first: a candlelit beach at sunset, a private residence in Baa Atoll. Some we planned from the first call; others we built for planners abroad.

Styling

Styling is what most people photograph. The flowers, the table, the structure the ceremony stands under, the light after dark. Sometimes a planner abroad has already drawn the wedding and we make it stand up on Maldivian sand; sometimes the florals are the whole commission, as at Katie & Jonny's wedding at LUX* South Ari Atoll. Either way the settings are built for a lagoon, not a wall.

Celebrations

Not every reason to gather is a wedding. Birthdays on the beach at Rihiveli, an estate party at The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, an evening on the sand at COMO Cocoa Island. Private celebrations are smaller and more personal than weddings, and the design has to feel like the host rather than like a hotel. We plan them, dress them and run them so the host can be a guest.

Corporate events & retreats

A retreat works when a distributed company spends a week on one island and comes home closer. We have produced multi-day programmes for 80-plus delegates at Heritance Aarah, LUX* South Ari Atoll and Seaside Finolhu: conferences by day, a different themed evening each night, branding that sits lightly in the landscape, and a production team of 20 or more behind it.
