Local islands are reached from Malé by public ferry, scheduled speedboat or domestic flight, depending on the island and the day. We do not quote a time until we have your dates; then we confirm the route with the guest house and book the same transfer for our team and the flowers.

What is possible on a local island, and what is not?

A ceremony on the bikini beach set aside for visitors, a sandbank by dhoni, a dinner in a guest-house garden or on the harbour front are the usual shapes; foreign couples marry symbolically in the Maldives, with the legal paperwork done at home.

What does a celebration on Naifaru cost?

There are no fixed packages. Every event is designed and quoted on its own, with our fee on one line, the guest house and the vendors at cost on the others, and government taxes (GST) and the 10 % service charge shown. A proposal with the full cost breakdown arrives within five days and is held for five; a 50 % deposit confirms production.

With 2 registered guest houses, Naifaru in Lhaviyani (Faadhippolhu) Atoll is a local island rather than a resort, and that changes the shape of an event. Guests stay in guest houses among the community; the ceremony can go on the bikini beach set aside for visitors, or on a sandbank reached by dhoni; and the island council, not a resort's events team, gives the permissions. We handle that part.

We bring the design, the florals, the vendors and the rundown, and we agree the rest with the guest house and the island council.
