# Ikebana Maldives

> Ikebana Maldives (legal name Ikebana Wedding and Events, Ikebana Pvt Ltd) is a wedding planning, event production and floral design company in Malé, Republic of Maldives, working on resort islands, local islands and yachts across the country. Founded in 2014; 800+ destination events produced; 150+ resort partners across 35 resort brands; 200+ international planners and agencies affiliated. There are no fixed packages: every event is designed and quoted on its own, with a proposal and full cost breakdown within five days of an enquiry, held for five days, and a 50 % deposit to confirm production. Guest counts run from 2 to 500+. Bookings are taken from one month to two to five years ahead; December is peak season. Foreign couples cannot register a legal marriage in the Maldives, so resort weddings are symbolic ceremonies or vow renewals; Maldivian couples marry through the Family Court and the walimah and reception are designed around it. Photographers, videographers, musicians and other vendors are commissioned at cost from 20+ kept local suppliers. British English throughout.
